Located just north of Belfast , Searsport sits on the shores of  Penobscot Bay and is a small town with an extensive seafaring history.  The Yardarm Motel is directly on Route 1, one mile north of the center of town. The motel is close to both sophisticated antique shops as well as flea markets. From the Yardarm you can walk to restaurants, the Penobscot Marine Museum, Bluejacket Shipcrafters. Just across the street you'll  find a gas station, convenience store, laundromat and a Dunkin' Donuts.

Searsport's sidewalks allow you to walk to most  town locations including Mosman Park and the marina where you can join people fishing from the dock and watch the boating activity. Relax and enjoy the refreshing breezes of Penobscot Bay.

The Yardarms Motel's guest rooms come in a variety of sizes, so whether  you are traveling alone, or with your family, we can accommodate your  traveling needs. All our rooms are non-smoking, have air conditioning,  and are on the first floor.   We have two rooms designated for those  traveling with pets. There is a laundromat across the street.

Accomodations also include: wi-fi in all rooms, and an exercise room.

Our sunny breakfast room is a pleasant  place to start the day and compare notes with other travelers. Complimentary breakfast buffet includes a variety of cold cereals, many flavors of oatmeal; blueberry and banana nut muffins; english muffins; and danish. Two juices, freshly ground coffee and a variety of teas.   The breakfast room is smoke free.
