The Whitman House Bed & Breakfast blends history, culture, and a great location, all in an elegant 1836 Neo-Classical home. Even the neighborhood is steeped in history, originally settled by scholars and abolitionists.

Whitman House Bed & Breakfast is adjacent to both MIT and Harvard, the perfect location for parents visiting their children at either university. Visiting professors, lecturers and students have also stayed with us before, and we welcome guests visiting Harvard and MIT. We're also just three minutes on foot from Central Square, and close to many live musical, theatrical and comedy venues.

Enjoy the fifteen minute walk to Harvard Square, or take the subway (just a stop away) or on to Boston - be there in just ten minutes.

The Whitman House was recently restored by Tobert, a Harvard architect and one of your hosts, and retrofitted with heat & air conditioning.

One room is available with Queen bed, wifi internet access, a flatscreen television, cable, and a gorgeous bathroom. The room also features an alarm clock and phone.

We serve a "continental plus" breakfast each morning in the dining room - breakfast hours are flexible.

Relax in our library, or enjoy all of the art and history Whitman House has to offer, including original vintage lithographs of Boston, many African artifacts, and other cultural artwork.
