A QUIET, PEACEFUL GETAWAY IN CAMBRIDGE, WISCONSIN
Craving some peace and quiet? Whispering Winds Retreat Haven may be the place for you. Whispering Winds is a large, renovated farmhouse surrounded by three acres of lawn and gardens.
Whispering Winds is both a bed & breakfast for romantic getaways and a spiritual retreat house for small group retreats.
Four spacious guestrooms, each with a private bathroom, are furnished with a queen or full bed, comfortable chairs, and a desk. Each guest room is a peaceful escape, a totally private place to read, sleep, reflect on life, and simply relax.
Our guests arewelcome to use the sun room that looks over the lawn and gardens, the living room with a gas fireplace and a piano, dining room, prayer room, and other smaller sitting areas throughout our home.
You'll also find rocking chairs on the front porch, a fully enclosed gazebo, and paths that wander through the lawn and gardens - smell the roses, listen to the birds, and watch the chipmunks scamper by. This is the place to slow down, relax, and be refreshed.
Whispering Winds Retreat Haven is in Cambridge, Wisconsin, a small village known throughout the Midwest for its fine pottery and its great gift shops. Cambridge is just thirty minutes east of Madison, ione hour west of Milwaukee, and two hours northwest of Chicago.
For avid explorers, Cam-Rock County Park is just one mile down the road from Whispering Winds. The park has more than 300 acres of woods and prairie along Koshkonong Creek. There are miles of hiking trails also perfect for mountain biking and cross-country skiing. The park is a beautiful, quiet place to commune with nature year-round.
Nearby, you'll also find Lake Ripley, a mile from our Cambridge bed and breakfast. The lake offers swimming, water skiing, fishing, boating, and ice skating - depending on the season.
At Whispering Winds B&B, we offer a continental breakfast each morning. For other meals and snacks, a small refrigerator and microwave for guest use are available in the dining room. Cambridge and other neighboring cities also offer a number of dining options, from fast food to gourmet restaurants.
Whispering Winds Retreat Haven can be rented for private gatherings such as church groups, business teams, book clubs, family get-togethers, etc. We can comfortably accommodate up to a dozen people for a daytime meeting. The house has multiple rooms that can serve as meeting rooms: Living Room, Dining Room, Sun Room, Rainbow Sitting Room, and Gazebo.
Whispering Winds also offers one- and two-day public retreats on religious and spiritual topics. Each of our retreats is ecumenical and many are interfaith. Follow the link to our website for the current schedule of retreat offerings. Whispering Winds is also wheelchair accessible.
