On a quiet country road, this New England Bed & Breakfast is just a short drive from Sugarbush Ski Resort and Mad River Glen. You can also go cross-country skiing or snowshoeing right from our doorstep. In the warmer months it is a great center for hiking, kayaking, cycling and other outdoor activities. And the fall foliage is spectacular. Originally built in the mid Eighteen Hundreds, the bed and breakfast has three common rooms, and a large outdoor patio for relaxing in the summertime. Each of the eight guest rooms has an updated country decor, either a gas fireplace or gas stove, and a private en-suite bathroom with either a steam shower or Jacuzzi tub. Each morning, we serve large country breakfast in our dining room, and depending on the weather sometimes outside on our canopied patio. The Bed and Breakfast is licensed to sell wine and beer, and has a full wine cellar, serving a great choice of local Vermont beers and a selection of fine champagnes. West Hill House Bed and Breakfast also features expansive, beautiful gardens on nine acres that put on spectacular displays in spring, summer, and fall. Our grounds have wonderful mountain views, meadows, ponds, and woods where you can relax - put your feet up and read a book, or watch the birds and chipmunks, deer and sometimes even a moose. West Hill House was voted one of the five top B&Bs in New England in 2007 by BedandBreakfast.com, and was one of only two Inns in Vermont receiving an award. In 2006 the Inn was named Editor's Choice in the Yankee Magazine's 2006 Travel Guide to New England. The innkeepers offer personalized service, comfortable surroundings, warm Vermont hospitality and wonderful breakfast to their visitors. West Hill House B&B belongs to the Mad River Valley Chamber of Commerce, the Vermont Association of Wedding Professionals and is also a PAII member (Professional Association of Innkeepers International).
