HEAVEN ON EARTH - BED & BREAKFAST IN VOLCANO
Welcome to Volcano Village Lodge, a collection of beautiful light-filled cottages nestled in the Volcano rainforest. We created these unique lodges for people who want more out of life than just a whirlwind tour of Hawaii's Big Island.
Stroll through our lush garden trails, past the giant fern leaves, look up at the native ohia trees, and be delighted by our wild, delicate orchids on the trees.
During your visit, you'll enjoy a fascinating slice of Hawaiian history. Volcano Village is part of the sacred lands of Ola'a, and was first settled by the Kahuna (priests) of the Volcano Goddess Pele.
Kay, the owner, is the consumate host, and will welcome you with warmth and elegance to her beautiful Volcano village resort.
The area was then kapu (forbidden) except to royalty. Now, you'll be our royalty.
The village is a "World Heritage Site," including protected habitats for rare and endangered species as well as showcasing unique biological and geological evolutions. Let us show you all of these wonders.

About Volcanoes National Park:
Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park was originally established in 1916, and showcases 70 million years of volcanism, migration, and evolution -- processes that thrust a bare land from the Pacific Ocean and covered it with complex and unique ecosystems and a distinct human culture.
The park offers diverse environments ranging from sea level to the summit of the earth's biggest volcano, Mauna Loa, at 13,677 ft. Kilauea, the world's most active volcano, offers scientists and visitors alike insights on the birth of the Hawaiian Islands and visions of dramatic volcanic landscapes.
The park offers several distinct climate zones that vary according to elevation. Visitors should be ready for a wide range of weather conditions. Weather at the park and village (4,000' elevation) fluctuates daily and can be wet and cold any time of the year. The temperature varies by elevation and is generally 14 degrees cooler at the summit than at sea level.
The coastal plain at the end of Chain of Craters Road is often hot, dry, and windy. Bring rain gear, light sweaters or jackets, sturdy shoes, hat, sun glasses and high UV factor sunscreen. We have umbrellas, flashlights, water, and beach mats during your stay so you will be ready for sun, rain, and sea adventures.
Come visit the amazing Volcanoes National Park on Hawaii's Big Island, and stay at the tropical, peaceful Volcano Village Lodge.
