Villa Scorpio al Puente B&B is a favorite among return visitors to San Miguel for its fusion of luxurious surroundings with a friendly, easy-going atmosphere.

This 18th Century villa features five quiet, lavishly appointed guest rooms, all with full private bath, gas fireplaces and fresh cut flowers. Villa Scorpio is sure to provide a comfortable and relaxing haven for guests of our lovely town.

Located just two blocks from the town square (Jardin), immediately north atop the Canal Street bridge, Villa Scorpio's rooftop terrace provides 360 degree panoramic views of San Miguel. Join us at sunset for a cocktail (or soak in the jacuzzi) and listen to the bells of the Parroquia ring out into the evening. Birdwatchers will delight to see flocks of ibis, egrets and green herons flying to their nightly roosts. Guests who watch carefully just after sunset may see our two local owls hunting over Las Monjas.

In the morning, choose to enjoy your fresh homemade breakfast and gourmet coffee in the elegant Dining Room, or outside in the Breakfast Patio listening to the birds chirp and the relaxing burble of the fountain. Best of all, you may choose the time you wish to have breakfast!

After breakfast, guests are welcome to relax at the villa, perhaps to treat yourself to a massage at our on-site spa or to head out for sightseeing, shopping, art or language classes, or a tour of one of our nearby attractions.

Your hosts are Nicholas Power and Penelope Haskew, their daughter Chiara and their pets Thurber and Xoche (the dog team) and El Ninj, the saucy cat. Nick is a lawyer from El Norte, and Penelope is a "Jane-of-all-trades" which range from carpentry to gourmet cooking. Both are avid traveler/adventurers. Nick has always had a love for nature which he fostered while managing a World Wildlife Fund sea turtle population study on a Greek isle. He also loves to explore the wilderness with nothing but a pack on his back and a compass to guide him. A former lighting designer and stage technician for the theatre, Penelope also is an ardent outdoorswoman. She loves kickboxing, horseback riding, skiing, swimming, sailing and never declines to join Nick on a camping expedition. She first became involved with the travel industry leading groups of tourists across the USA on camping tours. Nick and Penelope do have a great appreciation for comfortable accomodations however, as both have done extensive traveling around the globe. In the B&B they have combined their love of meeting people from all points of the compass with their respect for exceptional food and luxurious surroundings. They will strive to help you make your vacation with them the most memorable you've had. Whether you are drawn to adventurous outings or quiet strolls through the scenic neighborhoods of San Miguel, Nick and Penelope will help you arrange the best vacation possible!
