Villa Vista Mar, in Playa Ocotal on Costa Rica's western coast, is a classical Spanish villa offering fantastic Pacific Ocean views.

The Villa offers three attractive private vacation rental apartments for rent by the day or by the week. Each of these Costa Rica vacation rentals has a fully equipped kitchen, private bathroom, and terrace from which you can enjoy the ocean views. We provide all the bedding and bathroom towels, but please bring your own beach towels. We ask that you bring your own beach towels.  The villa also features wifi internet access.

Villa Vista Mar also offers a beautiful, big swimming pool on our ground floor, hot tub, and tropical gardens. There's even a rancho - an open-air outdoor kitchen where you can barbeque for dinner, with a dining area, washer and dryer, and poolside bathroom.

Our Costa Rica vacation rentals are in Playa Ocotal, on the Gulf of Papagayo - just steps from one of Costa Rica's beautiful beaches. We're surrounded by jungle - you'll hear the sounds of the ocean, as well as the calls of parrots and howler monkeys. Ed and Lorrie are your hosts, and they live on the property and are happy to help you find the many great excursions Guanacaste has to offer. There are so many great things to do nearby, including:

Rincon de la Vieja National Park: A real, active volcano with lava fields, boiling mud ponds, and thermal springs - an hour and 15 minutes away by car.

Guaitil Pottery Village: a small village where local families make a wide variety of pottery in the beehive-style kilns that the Chorotega Indians used for centuries. One hour.

Palo Verde National Park: The perfect place to see the many species of birds native to northwestern Costa Rica. An hour and a half.

Santa Rosa National Park: quiet beaches, great hiking, and Witches Rock, well known for great surfing. An hour and fifteen minutes.

Las Baulas National Park: The largest colony of the giant leatherback turtles in the Pacific. An hour and a half.

There are also a number of Pacific Ocean beaches nearby, including Playas del Coco, Playa Hermosa, Playa Panama, Playa Flamingo, Playa Conchal, Playa Tamarindo, and Playa Grande.

Villa Vista Mar sits on the side of a hill, giving its top three floors panoramic jungle and ocean views. The ground floor has a large swimming pool with waterfall and a spacious patio with palm trees for lounging and sunbathing. Tropical gardens border the patio, pool, and outdoor shower.
