The Tefft House Bed and Breakfast is an upscale B&B in Plainview, Minnesota - a great place to plan a romantic weekend. We've renovated this beautiful Italiante building, and offer 4 guestrooms, each with a private bathroom and gas fireplace.

The Tefft House is the perfect place to renew yourself - let us care for your body and your spirit. At the end of a long day, you can relax in a big jacuzzi tub. Or sit in front of your own private fireplace and let the day's cares dissipate.

We also serve a gourmet breakfast each morning, and after breakfast you can sit in the parlor to plan the day's activities.

Our Plainview Bed and Breakfast is also a great place for romance. In the summertime, you can hike, play golf, fish, canoe, or ride your bike through town. In the winter, why not snowmobile? Or ski - we have downhill skiingh and cross country skiing close by.

And there are many year-round pursuits as well - including live theater, great dining, and boutique shopping.

POLICIES

Deposit:
Room rates do not include the Minnesota Sales Tax of 6.5 percent. Rooms must be reserved with a major credit card. We gladly accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. Payment must be received at the time of check-out. Payment may be through cash, traveler's check, or credit card. Rates are subject to change without notice.

Cancellation:
Cancellations must be made at least 10 days prior to arrival. Cancellations made less than 10 days prior to arrival will be charged the full room rate for one night. If the room is resold, we will issue a gift certificate for the full room charge.

Check-In:
Ordinarily, check in is between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. If you plan to arrive later than 6:00 p.m., please notify the innkeeper so special arrangements can be made.

Check-Out:
Ordinarily, check out is at 11:00 a.m. Payment is due at the time of check out.

Children:
Children are welcome with prior approval. Please inquire when you are making your reservations.

Pets:
We regret we cannot accommodate pets. We can assist you in making arrangements for your pet to stay at a local kennel.

Smoking:
For the safety and comfort of our guests, smoking is not permitted in the Tefft House. For our guests who smoke, we have provided ash trays on the deck (second floor) and patio (main floor) located at the rear of the house. If the smoking policy is violated, the guest will be required to leave immediately and will be assessed a $200 fee to cover the cost of cleaning. An additional fee may be charged to cover any loss of income while the house is being cleaned.
