Talking Branch Cabin is just forty five minutes northwest of Asheville, North Carolina in the Spring Creek district of Madison County.

Talking Branch Cabin sits adjacent to a beautiful creek with small waterfalls and moss-covered rocks. Relax on the deck and listen to the rushing water – it's why we named this cabin Talking Branch.

The property covers more than seventy acres, and includes a hiking trail that starts at the doorstep and runs through tall trees, beautiful flowers and lush ferns, and ends at a beautiful picnic spot beneath a canopy of spicebush and walnut trees.

At night, you'll be amazed by the thousands of stars above and the sounds of the creek intermingled with frogs, cicadas, owls and the occasional coyote. If you're looking for the perfect place for to get away, you've found it at Talking Branch Cabin.

The owners, Frederike and Karen, have lived here since 1996, and love both nature and organic gardening. They take pride in providing a safe, quiet forest retreat surrounded by the natural beauty of the mountains.

Cabin amenities include:

• Local information book with maps, local menus, brochures, hiking trails, and other area info
• Bathroom with basin, shower, towels, toilet paper, and blow dryer
• Bedroom with queen bed with 600 count sheets and allergy-free down pillows and comforter 
• Fully equipped kitchen, with microwave, stove, fridge w/freezer, toaster, coffee maker with filters.
• A VHS/DVD/CD player with a great assortment of music and movies. There is no cable, Television, cell phone or internet reception – get away from it all! The closest cell service is on top of Doggett Mountain Gap about 5 minutes toward Asheville.
• Telephone (phone card required for long distance calls)
• Air conditioning and heat. Gas fireplace available in the cooler months
• Covered porch with Adirondack rocking chairs and side table 
• Weber gas grill for grillin’ on the deck

We're an eco-friendly property - we use compact fluorescent bulbs wherever possible and environmentally friendly cleaning products. We provide recycling bins and ask that you recycle glass, cans, paper and plastic while you're here. All linens are washed with fragrance-free, hypo-allergenic laundry detergents. Talking Branch Cabin is also a no-smoking facility.

We also request ask that you take any groceries, partially used condiments and other supplies you brought back home with you when you leave.
