Stroll along the romantic cobblestone streets of the colorful, and quaint historical monument, San Miguel de Allende. Three blocks from the main square, in the town's colonial center, you enter a beautifully restored 18th century home where you are greeted by the soft gurgle of fountains.
As you step into the tranquil courtyard, encircled with beautiful gardens, you find yourself experiencing Colonial Mexico, resplendent in elegance and tradition. You have arrived at SUSURRO Bed & breakfast. The name is taken from the sounds of murmuring water and rustling of wind in the trees that surround you. This is the English translation for our lovely Spanish name, and if you stop for a moment and just listen, you will understand.
Outside the walls lay irresistible folk art shops, art galleries, a variety of restaurants, markets and fiestas the likes of which you have yet to experience.
Inside the walls, Susurro welcomes you to a room with a private terrace or patio, each with its hand carved fireplace, beamed and bark ceilings, a blend of antique and contemporary furnishings, folk art and fine art, fresh flowers, beautifully tiled bathrooms, fine 600 count Italian linens, down duvets, lush towels and bathroom amenities. Each room is designed to create the luxurious and comfortable ambiance that special people deserve.
After a long active day, Susurro offers you easy choices: relax on your private terrace or in the fountain courtyard, bask in the sun in the upper garden surrounded by flowers or enjoy a refreshing dip in the pool, have a cocktail in the outdoor living room adjoining the garden, enjoy the cozy library where you can read, watch TV or check your e-mail on our wireless network, or you can begin a new painting on the roof-top terrace with its panoramic sunset views.
There is always a space for you to enjoy your privacy or to socialize with other guests, indoors or out. In the morning you can enjoy a social breakfast in the courtyard garden, or indoor dining room. If you prefer the privacy of breakfast in your room or on your private terrace, it will be our pleasure to accommodate you. Our very talented chef offers various Mexican gourmet selections each morning, but will be happy to prepare a breakfast to your requirements.
If you need laundry service or an easel, just ask. We also have a guest honor bar, and if it's a massage you would like, that can be made available in your room with advance notice.
In addition to what Susurro offers, in and around San Miguel you have a wealth of activities to choose from. The Instituto Allende gives classes in Spanish, fine art and crafts. Bellas Artes offers classes in the fine arts. Both have short-term courses. There is hot air ballooning, hiking, botanical gardens, golf, tennis, hot springs, cooking classes, horseback riding, archeological ruins, concerts, classic films, yoga, gyms, the meditation center and of course, if you are not exhausted yet, your typical, Mexican, swinging-door cantinas.

Cancellations:
Your deposit is refundable, less credit card charges, as long as your cancellation is made at least 30 days in advance of arrival. After this time deposits will be refunded if we are able to re-rent your room(s).
Check-In:
2PM. Should you arrive late we will be here to greet you and get you settled in.
Check-Out:
11AM, however, if you have a late deparating flight, we can store your bags and offer you a bathroom facility in which you can freshen up before your departure.
Pets:
There is a cat and dog on site. So we ask that you not bring animals unless this is discussed beforehand.
Smoking:
We ask that you do not smoke in the rooms or inside the house. There are terraces and other out-door areas where on can courteously smoke.
