Your hosts Dave Perks, owner and Laura Depper, manager,are happy to welcome you to our Bed and breakfast in the heart of Canada's capital city. We hope to make your stay with us as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

Rideau Inn, circa 1916, previously operated as Rideau View Inn for 14 years and we are happy to continue the established tradition of providing comfortable, charming, clean and economical rooms in a superb location close to all downtown Ottawa has to offer. Situated in the Golden Triangle bounded by lively Elgin St. and a bend in the Rideau Canal, we have a sunny, south view onto a pretty, shady park across Frank St. from our front porch. Frank St. and the park provide a tranquil, retreat in the middle of the capital's bustle. Just steps away are numerous fine restaurants, cafes, Starbucks and the Museum of Nature. Our house was renovated in the 1990's adding today's modern amenities while retaining the proportions and grandeur of a century home.

Rideau Inn is intimate with only seven bedrooms, two with private, en-suite baths, and four other baths. Because the manager and we owners live elsewhere, guests have maximum privacy and the exclusive use of the large ground floor living room, porch, dining room, kitchen and sunny roof deck.

Prices include breakfast...5% PST & 7% GST applies, refundable to visitors to Canada. We require 2 week's notice of cancellation. If less than that, 1 night's accommodation will be charged to your credit card or your deposit of 1 night's stay forfeited. If we can rebook the room in the weeks leading up to the reservation then there would be no charge to your card or your deposit would be refunded.
