Provincetown is an ideal place to visit in the spring or fall, in addition to the high season in the summer. A significant number of visitors choose the fall season to attend the many local September and October events. The Provincetown Historical Commission awarded the Revere House on 14 Court Street with the 1998 Preservation Award for being maintained in an authentic historic manner.
There are over 30 miles of beach front including Herring Cove and Race Point which are within minutes from the Revere House by bike, car, bus or foot. Guests have really loved the new common room to relax in and listen to music, or maybe read a new book. It is a great place to socialize and meet others, or to just sit by the fire and keep warm on those cold fall days. You may sit inside and enjoy the new spacious common room, or outside on the patio in the private garden. Each morning enjoy Starbuck's coffee, tea and orange juice. Of course, the clubs, restaurants, shops and the infamous Provincetown night life are only around the corner. For those who desire some solitude and solace, Mother Nature has blessed Provincetown with a majestic ocean only minutes away. The Revere House, located at 14 Court Street, is noted on local maps as early as 1836. Thought originally to be erected as a Captain's home, the site was owned in 1880 by J. Rogers. In the directory for 1886, Joseph Berry, a fisherman, resided here. By 1907, the house had changed hands to Mr. A. King. It is now under the proud ownership of Gary A. Palochko, a "New Englander" at heart, born and raised in Connecticut. Since the late 1960's, the house has been operated as an Inn to accommodate the many visitors that come to Provincetown each summer to enjoy this small New England town and relax in the seaside atmosphere. In May of 1995, I assumed ownership of the Courtland House and renamed it the Revere Guest House in memory of my grandfather, Albert LaRivere, who made it all possible. The guest house has also been dedicated to Tom Conroy and Albert J. Jasko, Jr. --Gary A. Palochko Innkeeper Come stay with us, and enjoy everything gay Provincetown has to offer.
