Rainbow Plantation Bed & Breakfast Inn is located on a seven acre macadamia and coffee plantation on the Big Island of Hawaii, just minutes from Captain Cook and Kailua Kona.

This historical, sacred Hawaiian landsite has been farmed for centuries, It is a natural, secluded, private, tropical hideaway away from traffic and surrounded by many varieties of tropical plants, flowers and organically grown fruit trees. This wild life sanctuary is a natural retreat for eco travelers, bird watchers, animal/nature lovers and guests, who seek a true Hawaiian, non-touristy, non toxic environment in which to relax and unwind.

The Fern Room is located on the ground floor of the main house. Friendly and comfortable with a King size bed plus a futon bed couch, a private bath with soaking tub and shower and a separate entrance, cable television and a small refrigerator. Views of Koi Ponds, gardens, forest and ocean.

The Peacock Room, light and comfortable, is located on the ground floor of the main house; Queen size brass bed, plus a futon bed couch inside, private bath (with soaking tub and shower), private entrance, cable television and refrigerator. Views of our koi ponds, gardens and macadamia forest can be seen from the comfort of your bed.

The Crow's Nest (remodeled in 1998 and converted from a macadamia husking building) has a large living room, also with a television and refrigerator, private bathroom with soaking tub and shower and a lanai on the main floor. The romantic bedroom is on the top floor with a queen sized bed. Ocean and private garden views from the living room, bed room and private deck. The living room has one queen sized bed couch and one futon couch for additional sleeping areas.

Hale Huna (Hidden House) is a cottage in our two unit 'Macadamia Nut' building. Private entrance, ohia wood lanai, tropical bedroom with a queen size bed, cozy living room with a single bed couch, television and refrigerator. The private bath has a double shower. Garden view.

The Jungle Queen is a 34 foot long retired fishing cabin cruiser, which used to go out for deep sea fishing between the Oahu and the other Hawaiian Islands for large Ono, Mahi Mahi, Tuna and other game fish. In 1998 it was converted and remodeled into a cozy and comfortable, very private Air conditioning, TV, full shower, V berth (bed room), state room (living room), poop deck (deck in back of the boat). Nestled on the edge of the forest it has some ocean/sunset view over the macadamia trees. Full futon beds in V berth, full bed couch in state room.

The Hale Kukui is a private room in the Kukui nut House. The bath (full shower) and outside self contained kitchen are shared with one other unit next to Hale Kukui. It has a skylight for stargazing, and TV. Plus a deck in front. Forest and garden views. This is our economical unit, a vacation rental. No breakfast is included (Jungle Kitchen is available). Contains double futon bed couch.
