Welcome to Rainbow Mountain Resort in the Pocono Mountains of Northeast Pennsylvania. We are a gay-owned and operated resort, restaurant and nightclub that has been serving the gay, lesbian and transgender communities since 1981.
Nestled high atop a mountainside on 26 private acres, including a 2 acre pond, we boast a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains. Welcoming both men and women, we are open year round with our friendly and helpful staff ready to serve you.
On-site amenities include an Olympic size swimming pool and sundeck; a year-round, 10-person hot tub with an adjacent, heated changing room - open 24 hours-a-day; an exercise facility; a sauna; tennis, volleyball, badminton and shuffleboard courts; a hill for snow sledding and tubing; and our pond with paddle boats, fishing, and ice skating.

We are near many warm weather activities such as boating, canoeing, rafting, kayaking, water skiing, and golfing. In the winter, there is snow skiing (downhill and cross country), snow boarding, tubing, and snowmobiling. All year long there is great hiking, horseback riding, antiquing, and outlet shopping.
Rainbow Mountain Resort is a very special place. It is NOT, however, a new and modern place. Rustic is a kind word, as are charming and eclectic.
As you consider which type of room is right for you, ponder the following four variables: private versus shared bathroom, ceiling fan versus air conditioning, baseboard heat in an insulated building versus a space heater in a seasonal cabin, and television versus no television.

POLICIES
Rate Details:
Rates include a four-course gourmet dinner daily, starting on the evening of your arrival (dinner is served from 5:30 to 9:30 pm, Sunday through Thursday; and from 5:30 to 10:00 pm, Friday and Saturday), and a full American breakfast daily (served from 9:00 am to 12 noon), including the morning of your departure. Rates include all taxes and a minimal gratuity for wait staff. Rates are subject to change without notice. Double rate is for two people in a room. Single rate is for one person in a room.
Deposit:
A deposit of $100 is required to hold a reservation. The deposit must be received within 10 days of making the reservation, or the reservation will be canceled without notice. Deposits made by personal check must be received at least 30 days prior to the arrival date. The deposit is applied to the last day of your scheduled stay (that means, if you get here and leave earlier than your scheduled departure date, you lose the $100.00 deposit).
Cancellation:
There is no refund of your deposit if we are notified of your cancellation less than 7 days prior to your arrival date. If we are notified of your cancellation more than 7 days prior to your arrival date, your deposit will be refunded minus a $20.00 cancellation charge.
