We're putting together an aid resource page for all of our innkeepers and travel agents affected by Hurricane Katrina. We'll regularly update the info here about the status of each property and their particular needs, and ask that the other innkeepers and travel agents, etc listed on Purple Roofs do whatever they can to help these folks. Needs info is still sketchy, and will probably remain so until most of these folks are allowed to return to their homes.

From Mary, Dos Maria's, Nogales, AZ: The offer is for 30 days. Dos Maria's is a suite of rooms: private patio, bedroom w/double bed, sitting room w/sofa pull-out double bed and large living area. All of it is totally private. There is a micro-wave, tv/vcr, fridge and the use of the back yard. The area accommodates 4, even 6 if I set up the roll-away and the 9 foot sofa is used. I also have two bedrooms in our private living space that are available. Both bedrooms have

I am not sure if I am contacting the correct source but I would like to impart some information to you which may be an opportunity for someone out there. I have been authorized by the owner of our Guest House in Fort Lauderdale Florida to let you know that we can offer an opening for a "Generalist". We are looking for someone who can live on property(Free) and work during the day(hourly wage). Responsibilities are varied as they are with any Guest House from general maintenance to desk duties etc. Our guest house is a small unique gay owned and operated clothing optional facility which consists of 11 units distributed throughout 6 structures: 5 units of which are Studio/Efficiencies, 5 units of which are 1 Bedroom Apartments and 1 unit is a 2 Bedroom Cottage. We are conveniently located near the cruise ship terminals and Hollywood International Airport. Our clothing optional facility caters to the leather community though not all of our guests are representative of that community niche nor are they required to be. With the position, a room is offered in the main house/office facility free of charge including utilities. An hourly wage is paid for shifts worked during the day.
