" PEACEFUL, SMALL QUEENSLAND B&B,
Our Queensland bed and breakfast has just 2 rooms, both with ensuite bathrooms. Each guest room has a/c, a queen bed, refrigerator, and tea and coffee. You'll also find a hair dryer and shampoo/soap in the bathroom. Each guest room opens onto our courtyard and gardens, where you'll find a big salt water swimming pool - bring a good book and relax poolside on a warm Australian afternoon. Port Douglas is the perfect place for a honeymoon or romantic getaway - enjoy the sunrise from the beach, or a wonderful meal at one of Port Douglas's great restaurants within easy walking distance. You don't even need a car - you can take the shuttle to the heart of Port Douglas. Or enjoy a leisurely walk along the beach into town. We serve a vegetarian breakfast each morning in our beautiful courtyard. Breakfast includes fresh, locally grown tropical fruit, homemade yogurt, cereals, toast, jam and honey, fruit juice and milk, and fresh-brewed coffee and hot tea. Port Douglas B&B is a place to get away from all the distractions of the modern world. There are no televisions here - instead, we encourage our guests to get out and enjoy the natural surroundings. We're also environmentally conscious, using solar-heated hot water, and only washing guest towels between guests or upon request. We're striving to keep our carbon footprint small. We also have a washing machine for guest use - perfect for longer stays. Port Douglas offers some great recreational opportunities, including snorkling or diving offshore in the Low Isles. Or drive to the town of Laura, where you'll find Aboriginal rock paintings. Mossman Gorge, a little north of Port Douglas, offers some beautiful hiking, and Aboriginal guides if you want a more extensive guided tour. Port Douglas itself is filled with great shopping, wonderful restaurants, clubs and bars. There are also local markets in the park each Sunday, with arts and crafts, fresh local fruit, jewelry, music, and much more. The options from Port Douglas are limitless. We live here in Port Douglas, and would love to share this beautiful Australian paradise with you.
