COUNTRY INN WITH STYLE "
We feature two self service one bedroom apartments in a restored lumber worker's cottage with decks right on the Trout River with mountain views. These units are perfect for groups of four who want to cook their own meals and have complete privacy. The sound of the rushing water is sure to lull you to sleep, and the river is well known for it's swimming holes and fishing spots. We also feature four brand new suites in our adjoining carriage house annex, built in a wonderfully converted barn, with fireplaces and jacuzzi bathtubs, perfect for a romantic weekend. We also feature three bedrooms in our main Inn for those who want a more social atmosphere, as well as the ability to walk down the stairs to your breakfast in your pajamas if you wish!! All rooms feature cable television, telephones, DSL and WI Fi Internet access, 600 thread count sheets, and Egyptian cotton towels. We are very popular with couples, as well as groups of singles who want to have a fun week end away from the big city. Though our clientele is mostly Gay and Lesbian, many accepting straight couples find our warm and welcoming atmosphere a true joy to visit. We guarantee that you will have so much fun at the Phineas that you will find it hard to break away to explore the nearby hiking trails, antiques shops, and winding country roads perfect for bike riding. We are pet friendly with advance notice as well!! All rooms have private baths, of course, and include a full gourmet breakfast and afternoon tea. John has studied cooking in many of the finest culinary institutes of Europe, and Jay was an interior designer for many years. Come join us around our baby grand player piano (plays CD's no less!!) for the afternoon tea dances and sing along to your favorite show tunes!! Our grounds feature a wonderful gazebo, perfect for a civil union ceremony, extensive perennial gardens, and an outdoor hot tub open to the stars. We are located just 1.5 hours from Montreal and Burlington International Airport, 3 hours from Boston, and 7 hours from NYC. We have re-located our antiques shop from the Chelsea district in Manhattan right across the street from our Inn, and all of our rooms are furnished in fine country antiques, four poster canopy beds, vintage oriental rugs, writing desks, and quirky vintage framed advertisements. We are located right on Main Street within easy walking distance to quaint shops and fine restaurants, and are glad to serve the guests of our Inn dinner as well, with advance reservations
