Our bed and breakfast opened Memorial Day 1998 in a house built in 1894 and recently renovated with care by the owners, Julie and Joan. From our front foyer to every one of our seven guest rooms, we have created a home you will appreciate as much as we do.
Our rooms have been restored with care and furnished with antiques. Six bathrooms have tubs and showers (one has only a shower), and the softest towels you will find anywhere. Our common room offers you a TV, VCR, compact disc player, videos, games, and books. An outside hot tub is on the premises.
A ten minute walk uptown brings you to theaters, restaurants, bars, museums, and shopping. The waterfront is a 20 minute walk or brief drive from the inn. Let us welcome you to Portland's historic and most diverse neighborhood.
If you plan to visit Portland, spend a night or two in our home.

Located in town Portland, the Parkside Parrot Inn offers travelers a clean, comfortable place to spend the night in a convenient location.
We have seven guest rooms, five with private baths. Four have queen-sized beds, and three have full-sized. 
In Summer and Fall our backyard patio and garden will provide you with a place to spend some quiet moments. We are within walking distance to most of Portland's attractions.
For breakfast we serve homemade muffins, breakfast breads, or scones, fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, juice, coffee, and tea, served in our beautiful living room with bay windows that overlook State Street.
