Of all the cities, towns and islands. Who would ever believe that there is a little bit of paradise right here in a town called Hudson.

Close enough to everything, yet far enough away to forget that in a few minutes you can be amongst the hustle and bustle if you want.

However, it is a different kind of hustle.  It is a really different kind of bustle.

It didn't take me long to acquaint myself with a life style very different than the one I grew accustomed to in New York.  I mean when I told my friends I got fur for Christmas, they asked mink or sable?  I had to break the news that it was my new baby cow named Leo (Leonardo of course).  There was no looking back.

Hudson,  the best kept secret!  Located on the Gulf of Mexico in the sunny state of Florida, Hudson runs along the gulf in the county of Pasco, an equine community.  So don't think it strange to see horses walking down the roads.

The cowboy in you will come alive in this western-flare city.   There are weekly horse shows locally, and there is livestock galore.  Cowboys, boots and hats are also not uncommon.

Like to play? Hudson is just 90 minutes from numerous Disney Parks, 50 minutes from Bush Gardens, 40 minutes from Clearwater Beach, Honeymoon Island, and the world famous Caladesi Beach, 30 minutes from Ebor, 20 minutes from the Greek sponge docks, and lots more.

We're also only 30 minutes from Tampa International Airport for your convenience.

Like to gamble? The Hard Rock Casino is just 20 minutes away, and Casino boats leave for the gulf nightly.

And right here in Hudson, you'll find restaurants, shopping, fishing, water sports, and much more - the list goes on and on and new things are added all the time.  Hudson has a growing economy due to its many attractions and fabulous location.

Oh, have I mentioned the most beautiful sunsets in the world?  Pink, purple, orange explosions that fill the sky every dusk.  And if you are an early riser, dawn is just as breath-taking!  I began doing yoga that time of day as  there is no better way to bring in a new day.  I have found it difficult to sleep through such a magnificent moment.

After dusk, look up at the stars, the big dipper, lil' dipper, and a blanket of stars that cover the evening sky.

It is an incredible  experience to look up at the sky from a blanket with a special someone at your side. The peace and quiet is astounding!  Get back to nature and reawaken your inner spirit.

The weather here is almost always cooperative.   Even when it isn't, you will enjoy it because  everything in this part of Florida is beautiful.  The rain, the lightening, the sunshine, the dewy mornings, the smell of the night breezes.  There is never a moment that you feel that you are not in a very special place.

That is what inspired me, one of the innkeepers of Sunset Ranch to really awaken my inner passions.  We have been growing every year.  We boast organic fruits and vegetables that we grow.  Our chicken produce all of our brown eggs.  Our herd of Nubian and La Mancha goats supply the milk for exotic cheeses, fudge, and vitamin enriched soaps.  Horseback riding, cook outs, fireworks , camping,  barn fires and karaoke are just some of the in house activities.  Tantalizing breakfasts, fresh blueberries and strawberries picked daily ,bocce and a  relaxing atmosphere, intellectual conversations are all part of the daily experience.  Feel free to join me for yoga and tai chi by the pool.  I am very fortunate to share the ranch with my life partner and my soul mate, 2 wonderful men each contributing their unique gifts and talents.
