The great room of the cabin, with its cathedral ceiling and skylights, has a stone fireplace for a warm, cozy fire, and two sliding glass doors opening to a deck with a lovely view. The open kitchen area has maple cabinets. There is a bedroom with a full bath downstairs, and a second bedroom and half-bath upstairs. The chalet has heating and AC for year-round comfort, and Berber carpeting.

Your pets are welcome, and there is a dog pen outside.

This is a perfect vacation place to enjoy the colors of the North Carolina seasons: wildflowers of the spring and summer, the blazing leaves of autumn, and the white crispness of a winter snowfall (rare).

There is a vast range of activities and attractions available nearby. Franklin is one of the few places in the United States where rubies, sapphires and other precious stones are found. There are quite a few gem mines for you to mine rubies and other minerals and crystals.
