This registered national historic landmark has been renovated into a luxury boutique hotel which offers the coziness of a bed and breakfast, in an 18th century setting, combined with the luxuries of today.

As the only hotel in Center City Philadelphia with a private garden, we specialize in hosting small weddings, bar mitzvahs, corporate retreats, meetings and events of all kinds.

The Morris House, built in 1787, is located in the historic district of Philadelphia known as Society Hill, just two blocks from some of our nation's most important landmarks such as Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell.

Three major hospitals are all within 3 blocks, and the Convention Center is just a 10 - minute walk. World class restaurants, the theatre district and the famous lively South Street with its unique shops, are all a short walk away.

Please note that the Morris House is a historic landmark, and to preserve and maintain its historic significance no elevator is present and no pets of any kind are allowed.

There is convenient parking across the street from the hotel. The garage entrance is on 8th street, between Walnut and Locust Streets.
