Our Belize Eco Lodge is in the heart of the Maya Mountains, set amongst a pristine rain forest, close to Mayan ruins, waterfalls and natural swimming pools, mysterious caves, and the vivid flora and fauna of the jungle.

You'll sleep in wonderfully comfortable Egyptian cotton linens, with mosquito netting screening your king size canopy bed. In the afternoons, you can relax in the hammock on your private screened-in porch.

Each of our thatched-roof luxury cabanas sits under the jungle canopy where the sounds of nature create a daily symphony.

We're well-known for our great meals, and we also have a modest wine inventory and a full bar in our main Lodge. You'll also find a widescreen TV for movies, a good sound system for listening and dancing, and a library of games, puzzles and an eclectic book collection.

Mariposa Jungle Lodge is also a birdwatcher’s paradise. There are more than 400 known species in the immediate geographical area that ranges from broadleaf forest (the jungle) to open agricultural land to the nearby Mountain Pine Ridge Forest.

After we saw 102 species and a variety of nests on our own property in a day and a alf, we decided to build our first jungle bird watching deck, where guests can sit twenty feet above the ground and enjoy 360 degree views of the surrounding trees, nesting sites, and birdlife.

Our tower is a unique, safe and comfortable place perfect for birdwatchers, stargazers, and people who enjoy relaxing in a unique setting.  It is also the site of our gourmet jungle barbeques under the stars.
