Experience the magic of MacMaster House when you step across the threshold of this historic mansion into a timeless world of comfortable elegance and eclectic grace.

This surprising sanctuary nestled on prestigious King's Hill in the heart of Portland is adjacent to magnificent Washington Park, home of the famous Japanese and Rose gardens. City Center is minutes away by front-door bus service while fabled 23rd Street, lined with blocks of boutiques, restaurants and art galleries is an easy stroll by foot. 

MacMaster House features eclectic murals by local artist Myrna Anderson - lovely "scapes" that enhance the muted greens throughout the home. Spacious bedrooms are handsomely appointed with European antiques, down comforters, European bed linens, lush pillows, desk or dressing table and reading chair.  The Inn features large common areas with many styles of antiques, some original to the house.  A spacious parlor room features a large fireplace, plenty of seating for conversation, reading or enjoying a glass of wine, and an upright piano for guest enjoyment.  Mingle with other guests or enjoy a quiet corner with a book.  Seven fireplaces cozy things up, and a gourmet breakfast is served on English Minton china in the elegant dining room. Seven guest rooms are available, some with private bath and fireplace. European bath sheets are provided, and shared baths have oversized soaking or claw foot tubs.

 - A reading chair and vanity or desk

 - Cable Television with VCR and free use of Inn's Video Library

 - The Inn has central Air-Conditioning; additional individual room air-conditioners are included in some rooms.

 - All rooms are located on the 2nd or 3rd floor, four rooms have fireplaces (see descriptions below).

 - Suites include private bath and CD players. European-style shared baths on each floor accompany all other rooms.  All prices are subject to change and 12.5% Oregon Room and Meals tax.
