The Last Resort Guest House is a cozy cottage on Vashon's west side, perched high above The Puget Sound.  While staying at the cottage you'll enjoy long, peacefull walks along the island shore, see eagles, osprey and other wildlife, or enjoy coffee or tea on the deck while watching ships pass through Colvos Passage.

The Last Resort is hidden among the woods at the end of a quiet country lane. The cottage has a small kitchen with a refrigerator, hot plate, coffee maker (with coffee) microwave and blender.  You can enjoy your breakfast, lunch or dinner inside or on the deck.  Place settings for 4 have been provided.

Sleeping accomodations include a very comfortable queen sized hide-a-bed on the main floor and another queen sized bed in the loft.  The bath is equipt with a wall heater to keep you warm during your morning shower and the cottage is heated by another wall heater or an air tight wood stove to keep you cozy and warm on a cool island evening.

French doors lead outside to the deck next to the 6 person hot tub with amazing Puget Sound views!  There's also an out door shower where you can rinse off the dust from your explorations of Vashon Island, and a BBQ where you can grill up something for dinner.

If you want a work out, we have a local gym nearby that has a swimming pool, aerobics, sauna, and racketball courts, as well as weight tranning-a guest pass is provided with the cottage rental.

Vashon Island is a great place for a vacation getaway-with a number of great wilderness hikes along queit ponds and through lush verdant woodlands.  You can also take a walk along the beach, kayak Puget Sound or rent a couple of bikes and explore the island along our quiet county lanes.
