La Perla Bed and Breakfast was once a popular destination for Mexican movie stars, and now offers a glamorous destination that most visitors to Mexico never get to see.

Guadalajara's La Perla Bed & Breakfast is luxuriously furnished, and the decor has a Mexican movie star flair: local accessories, expensive Mexican artwork, and fine furnishings and decorations from Steuben, Swarovski, Waterford, and others.

Each of our guest rooms honors the Golden Age of Mexico's theater scene:

Estrella de Teatro: Our biggest guest room, with a beautiful 4 poster bed. The room features 2 large windows that open up to a city view of Vallarta Street. Estrella de Teatro also has a large bathroom with two shower heads and a three-person shower.

Estrella de Radio: this suite is filled with John Widdicomb furniture, and includes French doors that open to a large terrace that looks over the beautiful mansions in our neighborhood, as well as the towers of the Templo Expiatorio. Stay here and serenade your partner with a full Mariachi band, or a simple trio from the street below - it doesn't get any more romantic than this.

Estrella de Cine: French doors open to a cosy private terrace, with a great view if a Neoclassical dome.

All of our elegant rooms have private baths with showers, a/c and heat, flat screen television, CD player, high speed internet access, ceiling fan to keep you cool on a warm afternoon, and comfortable robes.

Your visitors are welcome at La Perla Bed and Breakfast - each visitor must be accompanied by one of our registered guests at all times.

La Perla Bed & Breakfast is on the western side of Central ("centro") Guadalajara - we're on a quiet side street, but we're a short walk away from more than forty gay Guadalajara clubs and bars, including discos, stripper bars, cafes, bathhouses, and restaurants - something for everyone's tastes.

Some are great places to meet locals or farmboys; some are more of a college crowd.

Christopher and Lars will be your hosts for your stay at our gay Guadalajara B&B - they moved to Guadalajara from Indiana, where they owned a retail shop together selling home decor. We love to take guests out the first night or two to show them everything gay Guadalajara has to offer.

POLICIES

Deposit:
A deposit of 50% of the amount of your stay is due at the time of booking. Payment may be made by credit card through PayPal, or by calling us. The balance is due upon arrival. Sorry, we are unable to accept checks.

Cancellation:
If you cannot make your reservation, we will attempt to re-rent the space reserved for you. If re-rented, you will receive a refund, minus a $100. Cancellation fee. If unable to re-rent your space, we will gladly give you a Gift Certificate for 75% of your deposit toward a future stay. (Gift Certificates are valid for two (2) years and are transferable to a third party.)

Check-In:
After 2 PM. This is flexible and if possible, we are pleased to accommodate special requests.
