ON TWENTY ACRES IN SOUTHWESTERN FRANCE "
It's a unique name, with its origin in Marc Chagall's painting of the same name, originally painted in Paris in 1911. We had a local artist recreate the painting for us in '05, as a welcoming sign for visitors staying with us at L'Ane Vert. The home is large, with beautiful wooden beams, fireplaces, and central heat for the winter months. There's also a baby grand piano, and a number of wonderful original works of art. We've undertaken a careful renovation of the home, once a school for artists - we've built on this theme with beautiful artwork throughout the home. The grounds feature a big pool (11 x 6 meters) for swimming and sunbathing, a terrace where you can relax and enjoy a lazy summer evening, and twenty acres for you to wander in, with our own forest and lake, where you'll find our resident ducks. We also have a donkey, a horse, and several coypu on the property. Up to eight travelers can stay at L'Ane Vert at one time. St. Meade de Gurcon is a cute, historic French village dating back to the 12th century, located on a hillside between the Dordogne and Isle valleys, in the Aquitaine region of Southwestern France. The next time you plan a French Holiday, come stay with us at L'Ane Vert!
