La Conciergerie is Montreal's premier guest house. Since our opening in 1985, we have gained an ever growing popularity among travellers from Canada, the United States, Europe and Australia. A beautiful Victorian home built in 1885 offers a total of 17 rooms, eight with shared bath and nine with private bath. All of the rooms are furnished with comfortable queen-size beds and duvet comforters. The rooms are air-conditioned for your comfort.
A complimentary European breakfast consisting of coffee, orange juice, bagels, croissants, english muffins, home-baked breads, fresh fruit, jams, etc., is offered to be enjoyed either in the breakfast room or one of the outdoor terraces.
The summer months you can take advantage of our private roof-top sundeck to work on your tan and all-year round there is a warm indoor jacuzzi to relax in. For reasons of safety we do not allow smoking in any of the bedrooms. There is a full kitchen available for those with special diets or just special desires! For our business travellers, we have a FAX service available. A gym is now available for your workouts.
The house is centrally located in Montreal, within walking distance to mostmajor points of interest including downtown shopping, charming Old Montreal, the "Cafe Terrasses" of rue St-Denis as well as its trendy boutiques, the busy main street Ste-Catherine, Place des Arts, Palais des Congres and the East Village with its many gay shops, restaurants and those notorious bars. The Metro (subway) is just two shorts blocks away and we have maps and guide books to help you find your way around town.
In keeping with traditional guest house style, the bedrooms do not have televisions or telephone. There is a colour-cable television in the lounge and a public phone to make those important phone calls back home. We will gladly take messages for you from incoming calls. We can offer suggestions as to where to shop or eat. There is plenty of on-street parking for those who drive.
