Welcome to Labrys Wilderness Resort, peacefully situated on a small spring-fed lake at the south end of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, just half an hour from Traverse City and within walking distance of Lake Michigan.

The land is mostly oak and pine forest. There is a hot tub (under the stars), picnic area, beach with fire pit and dock. Kayaks and a rowboat are available for your use. Located across the road from a hiking trail -- walk in the woods, hike or ski to Lake Michigan. Miles of deserted sandy beach await you at the end of the trail.

Four distinctive rustic cabins spread among the grounds are secluded for a feeling of privacy. All of the cabins come with completely furnished kitchens, a half bath, and have one or two bedrooms with double beds.

Bluebird is our deluxe cabin. This cabin sits on the ridge and overlooks the pond at the end of the lake. In the spring the pond is filled with blooming water lilies. The careful observer might be able to spot a beaver. Bluebird has hot water and a private shower. There are two separate bedrooms. A wood stove with a glass front for viewing the fire keeps this cabin warm on a cold night.

The other three cabins - Chickadee, White Pine, and Half Moon - follow the lake. White Pine has the best view of the beach and lake. Chickadee, a cozy one room cabin, and Half Moon, a light airy cabin, are nestled among the trees. Chickadee will keep you warm with a gas heater. Half Moon and White Pine have wood stoves. These cabins are served by the shower house.
