Enter La Posada de Taos through our courtyard, lined with fragrant flowers and a gazebo covered in wisteria vines. Most of our guestrooms open onto one of our semi-private patios. Once inside, you'll see the interior of the original adobe structure, furnished in Taos Pueblo style. La Posada de Taos is the perfect place for lovers - enjoy blazing sunrises and romantic starry nights together in this historic compound. Our century-old adobe home is full of elegance, warmth and charm. Take a sunset walk together down the narrow lanes of Taos, lined with tall trees and adobe houses, or relax together before the fireplace in your room. Spend a lazy summer evening together on your veranda, surrounded by lovely gardens. We've made a tradition out of enjoying breakfast with our guests. Breakfast is served at a quarter past eight each morning - we sit down with our guests and enjoy a wonderful, hot breakfast in our rustic dining room. Breakfast starts with coffee and hot tea, and a variety of fruit juices. We then serve a freshly-baked item, like our own famous Chili-Pinon Scones, along with a bowl of fresh, seasonal fruit. At half past eight, we serve the main dish, usually with a traditional breakfast meat. If you have any special dietary requests or needs, let us know when you book your stay, so we can accommodate you. Taos is a world-renowned art and literary center, with more than eighty art galleries, boutique shops, great places to eat, and local museums. Taos is also perfect for the outdoor enthusiast, with white-water rafting on the Rio Grande, horseback riding, nature hikes in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, Taos Ski Valley slopes, and hot air ballooning over the verdant desert valley. Taos is wonderful place, full of stories of romance and spirituality, and rich with history.
