Welcome to The Kingsley House Bed and Breakfast in the Heart of Southwest Michigan. Come experience the elegance of this Victorian Queen Anne mansion! The Inn is a Michigan Historical Site and is ideally located just minutes from the resort towns of Saugatuck, Holland and South Haven.  The splendor of Allegan State Forest and the sandy beaches of Lake Michigan are also close by.

The house was built by Harvey Judson Kingsley for his wife Eliza and daughter, Carrie. Mr. Kingsley introduced apple trees to this area of southwest Michigan. He did much work for Michigan State University and their library contains volumes of his research. The home was restored in 1989 and opened as a bed and breakfast that same year.

We have bicycles available for you to use to explore the countryside. Ride by Hutchins Lake on your way to the winery. Hike the Dunes State Park or along the splendor of Lake Michigan’s sandy beaches. Explore the beauty of Allegan State Forest on our cross country skis in the wintertime

Have a seasonal treat of lemonade and cookies on our large wrap-around porch in the summertime. Or indulge in caramel apples and cider in the fall and make your own s’mores in the wintertime.

The wicker furniture on our front porch is a popular place all day long, especially the swing overlooking the front lawn and the large seating area to relax to a good book or an afternoon break for two.

Relax in the backyard canopy swing while taking in the countryside surroundings or cuddle up together in our side garden’s hammock while listening to the gurgling fountain.

Don’t forget to come back from dinner in time to watch a movie in our side garden’s large screen outdoor movie theater complete with surround sound.

Or if you prefer, retreat to your room for a private movie from our large in-house video tape and DVD collection which are always available for viewing in your room (all rooms have their own TV).

A hot beverage machine is available 24 hours for your enjoyment of select coffees, teas, cocoa and cider as well as complimentary sodas and bottled waters.

Our Jacuzzi rooms have terry cloth bathrobes for you to relax in and all of our rooms have special aromatherapy Kingsley House soaps and shampoos.

All room rates are based on 2 persons per room. Two night minimum stay requirement applies to all rooms all weekends May – October. Suites always require a 2 night minimum stay on weekends year-round. Three night minimum stay requirement on Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day weekends. All minimum stays must be in the same room.
