QUIET BANKER'S HILL 1888 VICTORIAN BED AND BREAKFAST
In the late 1800s, during San Diego's boom period, many of its prominent citizens chose Banker's Hill, an elevated area of the city, to establish residences. Now over 100 years later, several magnificently restored Victorian homes remain in this residential area and among them proudly stands Keating House, San Diego's Historical Site No. 198. Our graceful home has been faithfully restored to its turn-of-the-century elegance and now, as a Bed & Breakfast, awaits your visit...
There are a total of nine bedrooms between the main house and the cottage. The main house boasts a large foyer, parlour and dining room, each with its own fireplace.
The rooms are tastefully appointed in Victorian splendor and reflect the color, decorations and furniture of the 1800s. All are illuminated by San Diego's near perfect weather, which produces sun drenched window panes to brighten every corner of our home.
Lush tropical grounds surround the property creating an oasis-like atmosphere. Immerse yourself in a range of flora from orchids, roses, bougainvillea, cacti and night-blooming jasmine, to towering jacaranda and banana trees. Seating areas in the garden and the front porch, afford the opportunity to enjoy a peaceful moment in either the sunshine or shade.
Keating House is an excellent example of the Queen Anne Victorian residences built in San Diego during the boom years of the 1880's. The exterior of the house has ornate shingle wall panels; a porch with turned spindles; a gable dormer with a carved sunburst pattern; decorative gable-end panels; and a hexagonal turret with faceted roof. Inside are four fireplaces and rooms with twelve foot ceilings.

Reservations:
We recommend reservations be made a minimum of two weeks in advance of your stay. Your Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express number (or a deposit check) will hold your reservation. Please add 10.5% tax per night double occupancy.
Cancellations:
We require a 10-day notice for any change in your scheduled arrival or departure dates. We expect you to stay the entire length of your confirmed reservation. The equivelant of 1 nights room fee will be charged for no-shows. 1 additional night's fee will be charged for early departures.
Check-In:
You must contact the Innkeeper to confirm an arrival time no fewer than 24 hours in advance. We are flexible with regards to check-in times. However, we must have a one-hour window of arrival. If that time later changes due to travel delays or just a change in plans, please let us know. We need to know so we can know when to be here to greet you.
