Our five acre estate is 1,200 feet above Kealakekua Bay, with panoramic views of the South Kona coast. There are a number of sites of interest just a short drive away, including St. Benedict’s Painted Church and the sacred Pu’uhonua O Honaunau, the place of refuge. Hale Ka’awa Loa (the House of Ka'awa Loa) is a 6,500 sf Hawaiian plantation-style mansion with entry doors hand-crafted by a shipwright, beautiful cherrywood floors, and trim made from one of the property's mango trees. The bed ands breakfast is decorated with a tropical, Polynesian flair. Relax on our wrap-around lanai and enjoy our fantastic coastal views. The lanai also has a Hawaiian day bed and telescope. We also have a fireplace, a large kitchen, and a gas grill for guest use. We recently added a Jacuzzi, outdoor lava-rock showers, and a Hawaiian cedar steam room. The plantation at Ka'awa Loa is a working coffee farm and orchard, and the land is rich in tropical agriculture. We currently grow avocados, bananas, mangos, papayas, coconuts, passion fruit, white pineapple, and Kona Coffee. We're also starting to grow many other fruits, including oranges, tangerines, grapefruit, and more, and plan to add vanilla, cocoa, and several varieties of Bamboo. Ka’awa Loa B&B's great central location and luxury amenities make it a great place for friends and families to meet for island getaways and special events. Come visit us on the beautiful Kona coast on the Big Island of Hawaii!
