Josiah Sampson House is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and has been renovated and modernized to provide a wonderful getaway for travelers the world-round. We offer 6 large, comfortable guest rooms, with private modern bathrooms. Most of our rooms also have cozy fireplaces, and each is individually decorated with a surprising mixture of antique furniture and reproduction pieces. Richard Thomas and Joe Gergyes bought The Josiah Sampson House in the Spring of 2007, and plan to continue its proud tradition of hospitality. We serve a gourmet breakfast each morning in the dining room or garden (in good weather) between 8 and 9:30 am. If you just want to relax, wander through our romantic gazebo, soak in the hot tub, or just snuggle up with a good book in our living room. Or walk the beach in Cotuit on Nantucket Sound - just a mile from Josiah Sampson House. Like bike rides? We can provide a couple bicycles for guest use - ride to town from The Josiah Sampson House. There's a player piano in the living room to entertain our guests, and we also offer satellite TV and board games to keep you occupied. We also offer wifi internet access, and if you don't have a laptop, you can use our guest computer. The Village of Cotuit (one of Barnstable's villages) is a quaint historic town, full of Cape Cod ambiance. In town, you'll find the Cahoon Museum, golf courses, boating and antique shops. We're also close to the Mashpee Woodlands, South Cape Beach, and Loop Beach. For sports fans, there's minor league baseball (the Cotuit Kettleers), and nearby tennis courts.
