Our recently renovated one bedroom unhosted apartments are in the historic Joseph Aiken Mansion, located at Charlotte Street at Alexander Street. We offer completely furnished luxury accomodations for short or long term stays in Charleston. We also have free off-street parking, and we're just one block from Gaillard Auditorium.

The Historic Joseph Aiken Mansion and its recently restored carriage house are centrally located in the Mazyck-Wraggborough National Register Historic District of downtown Charleston, South Carolina (aka the Garden District). You can walk to all of Charleston's most popular downtown attractions within five to ten minutes, and we're just twenty minutes by car from the area's most popular beaches, Folly Beach, Sullivan's Island and the Isle of Palms.
We also have some wonderful restaurants within a ten minute walk of our front door, and the Charleston Farmer's Market, which runs from April to December, is just a short two block walk from the Joseph Aiken House. Have breakfast at the Farmer's Market on a Saturday morning!
The Charlotte Visitor's Center, the Aiken Rhett Mansion, the Gabriel Manigault House and the Charleston Museum are all just three blocks away from the Joseph Aiken Mansion. Charleston's beautiful public waterfront extends almost the entire length of the downtown peninsula
The Joseph Aiken Carriage House is NOT a Bed and Breakfast. Our vacation rental suites are unhosted, and are available for either short or long-term rentals. Each suite has a queen size bed in the bedroom and a queen size sofa bed in the living room.
Our prices are based on double occupancy, and there is an extra cost for each additional person. We also provide wireless Internet, cable TV, DVD player, iron and ironing board at no additional charge.
