Saxton's River, Vermont is a wonderful small town in the Connecticut River valley, with a beautiful, historic town center. The Inn at Saxton's River is in the heart of Saxton's River, and is just 12 an hour by car from a number of great Southern Vermont attractions. We're also just 5 miles from Chester, VT.

Each of our large guest rooms has a private bathroom, and some also come with balconies. If you travel with your do or cat, we also offer several pet friendly rooms. The inn has wifi internet access, free for guests.

The Inn at Saxton's River is also a great events space - the inn can hold up to a hundred for a civil union or private party, and our inn and grounds feature lovely gardens and a number of quiet, intimate spaces, perfect for photo shoots.

The inn also has an on-site, award-winning restaurant and a comfortable pub where you can enjoy drinks by a warm fire.

The Saxton's River area is a natural paradise, perfect for hikers, bikers, and skiiers (both cross-country and downhill). There are also some great walking tours that can help you delve more deeply into the area's charm and history.

The town is also host to one of the best prep schools in New England - The Vermont Academy, and the inn is a great place for parants and visitors to the school to stay while they're in town.

It's easy to get here - take Interstate 91, or ride Amtrak to the Bellows Falls Station (just 6 miles from here). We're also just an hour and a half from The inn is easily accessible from I91, six miles from the Bellows Falls Amtrak station, and 11⁄2 hours fromthe Hartford Connecticut International Airport. Car service is available to the inn from all major airports and rail stations.

Each room at the inn has a telephone and wifi internet access. Rooms are cleaned daily, and we will do our best to accommodate specific time requests. We may also be able to offer limited laundry service if needed - just ask!

We serve coffee, orange juice, tea and muffins every morning from eight to ten, and for folks who prefer a full breakfast, there's a great local breakfast restaurant, The Golden Egg, just down the block from the inn.

Out on-site pub opens at four o'clock, Tues-Sun, and our restaurant serves dinner Wed-Sun. We suggest making reservations for dinner, as the dining room often fills quickly on busy nights. Room service is also available for some menu items.
