Enjoy Victorian elegance in the middle of the Napa Valley wine country. In the midst of the vineyards, close to some of Napa Valley's finest wineries and restaurants, staying at the Ink House Bed and Breakfast will make you nostalgic for a long-past era, but with all the modern conveniences.

The building was originally built in 1884 by Theron H. Ink, and is an historic landmark home listed on the National Register of Historic Places. At his  "Helios Ranch", Ink, lived with his family and was involved in many Napa Valley ventures. The Italianate Victorian has two first floor parlors, with concert grand piano, fireplace, a 1870 pump organ, crystal chandeliers and the original stained glass.

Our guest bedrooms are located on the second floor, and each guestroom offers a distinctive view of vineyards, Victorian gardens and beautiful trees that are hundreds of years old. There's also a small parlor on this floor.

Each room has a queen bed, an en-suite bathroom, and is decorated in period style - with French, English, American, Georgian, Eastlake and Italian antiques and family heirlooms. The rooms have central air and heat for your comfort. Rooms vary in size, and have different amenities which are reflected in their rates.

The house is also a showcase for a collection of distinctive original art, and is also full of wonderful  antiques, collectibles and heirloom pieces. This is a home to be lived in, so we encourage each guest to be comfortable, and to enjoy all the bed and breakfast offers.

On the top floor, high above the tree tops, relax and make yourself comfortable in the glass enclosed observatory 50 feet above the Napa Valley floor. Guests can enjoy a 360 degree panoramic view of the surrounding vineyards and hillsides of the Wine Country.

Spend time up here reading, enjoying wine, napping, watching the sunset, or the hot air balloons in the early morning under Scottish stained glass windows.

Your stay comes with a full gourmet breakfast each morning, which may include everything from baked pears with cream to our Chef Innkeeper's signature dish, "Bella Torta". We also include unique hot entrees and a variety of beverages, fresh breads, cinnamon buns, and muffins with each breakfast.

In the late afternoon, we serve wine and appetizers. And many afternoons, the Ink House Bed & Breakfast hosts visiting wine makers who'll pour for you and share their wine-making secrets. We also provide brandy and ports for our guests to enjoy.

The Ink House Bed and Breakfast also offers a full wrap-around verandah, pool table, bicycles, video library, picnic table and garden swing.
