ROMANTIC 19TH CENTURY MANSION IN MYSTIC, CONNECTICUT
Welcome to Mystic's House of 1833 Bed and Breakfast Resort & Gardens, a celebrated Greek Revival Mansion and antique landmark on three acres of English gardens. Our Mystic B&B features a full-size swimming pool and our Artist-Created full New England country-gourmet candlelight breakfast. In the Summer and for special events, weather permitting, we may serve breakfast poolside.
Each of our guestrooms includes a full private bath, working wood-burning fireplaces, a/c, cable TV, am/fm CD players, and antique furnishings. Most of our rooms also have oversize Jacuzzi hot tubs (often En-Suite across from the bed), flat panel TV's, and two have private Garden Terraces. One room even offers private access to the Cupola/Loft Observatory (the Belvedere) at the top of the house.
Our B&B also offers wifi internet access throughout the house.
Guest Room Details:
Our spacious Oak Room features a Victorian queen-sized bed with canopy, monumental olivewood armoire, relaxing sitting area by the fireplace, and huge Jacuzzi hot tub right across from the bed. An additional antique brass twin bed is populated with pillows and 'presents' as a 'reading bed'. The adjacent full private Oak Room bathroom also features a 1905 Oak Arts and Crafts vanity with brass sink basin and marble top, oversized soaking tub, and separate stand up shower.
Our Ivy Room is an English country-cottage style suite, with an elaborate Victorian queen size bed, period Art Nouveau armoire, charming sitting area by the fireplace and HD flat panel television with built-in DVD player.
The colorful Peach Room offers the 'romance of faraway places' with its 19th century hand carved Chinese canopy bed with tempurpedic topper, relaxing classic wing chairs in front of the fireplace, HD flat panel TV and DVD player, walk-in shower room, large oval Jacuzzi hot tub, and its Moroccan and Asian decorative accents with private garden porch on the first floor in front of the rose garden. The porch features an antique iron table and chairs with large antique 'Passage to India' umbrella and rattan and wicker furniture.
The private, romantic Cupola Room features an 1840's American Empire mahogany canopy bed with tempurpedic topper and yards of mauve colored fabric descending from a cathedral ceiling, lodge-style fireplace, HD flat panel television with built-in DVD player, relaxing sitting area by the fireplace, tiled Jacuzzi hot tub, separate 'stand-up' shower, and private access through the suite to the Cupola loft/observatory reading area (the Belvedere at the top of the house) featuring a pair of antique chairs and beautiful 4-way vistas of the property.
The fantastic Veranda Room features a 19th century bronze king size bed from Paris, oversize corner Jacuzzi hot tub right across form the bed in front of the fireplace en-suite, Empire desk, grape-carved Victorian settee, rocking chairs, HD flat panel TV with built-in DVD player, and extra large sunny bathroom with French screen & French porcelain sink basin, as well as a private garden porch on the second floor overlooking the gardens and pool.

A minimum one-night deposit or 50% of your total stay for stays of three nights
or more is required at the time of reservation (balance isn't due until check-in). Deposits are fully refundable for cancellations made greater than 15 days in advance of check-in date (21 days in advance for holiday weekends & holiday periods) less a processing fee.
Cancellations:
Deposits for cancellations made 15 days or less (or 21 days for holidays) from date of check-in are refunded only upon re-booking that particular suite for all nights reserved less a processing fee. No refunds for no-shows or early departures. We will do our best, in 'extenuating circumstances', to offer an '1833 Gift Certificate' for a future stay.
