Rediscover nature’s beauty and harmony at the South Yuba River and Tahoe National Forest. Harmony Ridge Lodge Bed & Breakfast is only 160 miles from San Francisco, an hour from downtown Sacramento or Reno, and just 5 miles from Grass Valley and the heart of Nevada City.

The Lodge sits on five acres next to the to Tahoe National Forest, in the famous California Gold Country.

Outside our doors you’ll find wide balconies where you can relax and star gaze, use our BBQ, or wander through our wooded, fenced grounds (a great place to bring your dog and let him (or her) run free.

You can also access the Pioneer Trail from here - perfect for bike rides and horseback riding. There are cross country and downhill skiing resorts nearby at Lake Tahoe. And the South Yuba River State Park is also close by - where you'll find swimming and fishing holes that are also dog-friendly.

If you want something a little more civilized, take a drive down the hill to the vibrant culture of Nevada City and Grass Valley.

Harmony Ridge Lodge Bed & Breakfast is also great for corporate retreats and other events - we have conference rooms, and can handle up to fifty guests for daytime gatherings, and twenty five guests overnight, for te weekend, or for longer retreats.

Innkeepers Jamie and Bob and their Golden Retriever, Monarch, have vacationed in the California Gold Country for more than 10 years, staying with friends Peggy and Howard at the Swan Levine House.

They decided to get out of the city and open up a Gold Country place of their own – a retreat that would be big enough for gatherings of friends and family. So they built Harmony Ridge Lodge, a beautiful, welcoming escape – for anyone who loves to escape to nature, and their canine friends.
