ELEGANCE IN THE HUDSON RIVER VALLEY
Harmony House Bed & Breakfast is a colonial style home that's located between Saugerties and Woodstock in the Hudson River Valley, is a quiet, private home filled with natural light from the large windows and French doors that fill the house.
Each of our 4 guest rooms is furnished with beautiful antiques in a French style. Each room also has a surrounding terrace with beautiful country views, cable television, en-suite bathrooms, and fine linens.
Our Saugerties bed and breakfast also offers a common living area, where you can relax in front of the fire or chat with other guests. Or sit outside on the deck and enjoy the lush greenery of the property.
Start each morning (between 8 and 10 am) in our formal dining room or open air terrace with a wonderful full breakfast, prepared by your host, Jacquie, who has more than thirty years of experience as a pastry chef creating delicious sweets and desserts. She uses local, organic ingredients whenever possible. If you have any special dietary requests or needs, please let Jacquie know in advance so that she can accommodate you.
We also offer massage and other spa services at our Harmony Holistic Health Centre.
The Hudson River Valley is a great place to explore on vacation. The Village of Saugerties is close by, and has many antique shops and auctions. We're also close to Hudson (a short drive across the river, and Woodstock, where you'll find a wide array of arts and crafts, music, and shopping opportunities.
Also close by is Opus 40, an environmental bluestone sculpture extending out of an abandoned quarry, sprawling over more than six acres and originally built over 37 years by sculptor Harvey Fite.
There are also great hiking trails at Overlook Mountain, inner-tubing on the Esopus River, as well as on-road and off-road biking, apple picking, kayaking, horseback riding, golf and much more.
