SOUTH SHORE KAUAI, HAWAII VACATION RENTALS IN LAWAI VALLEY, SUNNY SOUTH SHORE
We invite you to be our guests on the south side of the lush tropical "Garden Island" of Kauai. We're just minutes from the beaches of Poipu, yet located on the cool hillside of Lawai Valley. Our convenient location is a short drive to Waimea Canyon, Lihue Airport and the east and north shores of Kauai. Imagine all the amenities of home with the comfort and convenience of your own private tropical setting.
Hawaiian accommodations include a secluded one bedroom guest cottage, one bedroom guest condo overlooking our cottage, both with lovely ocean views. We also offer a choice of two additional one bedroom apartment-style units as well as a spacious three bedroom, two bath home located in our Hillside "Tree House." All are completely self-contained and private. Our one bedroom units over between 500 and 600 sq. ft. of living space and our three bedroom unit has over 1300 sq. ft. of space. All offer wrap around lanais and beautiful views.
Each one bedroom unit includes a separate bedroom with a queen size bed, ample closet and dresser space, kitchen, full bath, queen size sleep sofa in the living room, cable TV, dvd, VCR, phone and washer/dryer in unit. Our spacious three bedroom unit offers a full kitchen, master suite with queen bed and bath, second bedroom with queen bed and third bedroom with two twin beds. These two bedrooms share a second full bath. Also available is a queen futon in an overhead sleeping loft. Barbecue facilities, beach gear are also available for your use.
Start your day on your private Hawaiian lanai listening to the sounds of our many tropical birds before heading to a nearby coffee housea nd cafe for a gourmet breakfast. Enjoy a stroll to a nearby mountain pool and waterfall, stopping along the way to enjoy a selection of seasonal tropical fruits and nuts.
Hiking trails are nearby in Waimea Canyon or a short drive to Sleeping Giant trails on the east side of Kauai or the spectacular NaPali coast trails on the north shore. After taking in Kauai's many attractions, experience our magnificent sunsets from your lanai before enjoying dinner at one of many fine nearby restaurants.
Hiking trails are also available through area forest reserves of Paperbark, Norfolk Pine, and Kukui Nut trees and a spectacular view of Kauai's Sunny South Side are right out your back door. Or you might choose to relax with a book on a hammock surrounded by tropical gardens.
We are convenient to many island attractions, 20 minutes from the airport, 10 minutes to beautiful beaches and snorkeling, 20 minutes to Waive and a scenic drive to Kauai's lush North Shore.
Your hosts, Bill and Cathy Cowern, moved to Kauai from New Hampshire in 1990. In addition to enjoying "talking story" with their guests, they are very active in agriculture on Kauai with a growing 4000 acre hardwood timber tree farm underway. Their beautiful 7 acre property is a developing tropical timber arboretum, graced with many species of tropical fruit and flowering timber trees. Their continued vision is to create a biodiverse tropical forest complete with trails and species identification.
