Nestled in the history of Manitou Springs, Colorado, the notable Avenue Hotel Bed and Breakfast was built in 1886 at the base of Pikes Peak, as a Victorian boarding house. We're located in the National Historic District of downtown; the city's' first bed and breakfast neighbors' trendy shops, fine restaurants and exciting galleries. Perched on the hill, nestled off the street with an expansive front lawn and garden, we are uniquely located on Manitou Avenue in the heart of the city, stroll down the street to enjoy the charm of Manitou Springs. A perfect place to escape and relax or the central location for discovering all area attractions.
Seven spacious guest rooms, each with private bath, offer a blend of Victorian charm and modern elegance, as well as a variety of views. Family heirlooms with an updated decor add flare to the distinction of the Avenue Hotel Bed and Breakfast. Soak your cares away in one of our antique claw foot bathtubs, an amenity of simpler days. Whether relaxing on our covered front porch with its stately pillars, sitting by our historic green stone fireplace or sightseeing in and around Manitou Springs at the base of Pikes Peak, our setting is perfect for your romantic getaway, small wedding or family reunion.
Wake to award-winning aromas as a scrumptious hot breakfast is prepared thoughtfully each morning. Dietary needs accommodated, low fat, vegan, vegetarian, or gluten free. Homemade cookies, complimentary bottled water and snacks are provided.
Massage services available through our licensed massage therapist. Hottub is on the back patio garden with BBQ. Air conditioned/ fireplaces, HDTV / DVD with free movies, secured wireless and guest computer with printer, with fax on site. Part of our historic property is a 2 unit Carriage House with fully equipped kitchens and offers additional space and privacy for family vacations or extended stays. Both are one bedroom with Queen Beds the Upper Carriage House opens to a living room with black iron gas stove fireplace, it has a bath with claw foot tub/shower and the kitchen dining area has mountain views. The garden level Carriage House sleeps 4 a trundle bed is neatly arranged in the living room which provides extra seating as well as comfortable sleeping. The kitchen dining looks out on the flower garden. Large bright bath with a claw foot tub/shower.
The Avenue Hotel Bed and Breakfast is a great starting point for your adventure; enjoy the many area attractions in Manitou Springs, Pikes Peak and the Cog Railroad, Garden of the Gods, Manitou Cliff Dwellings, or Cave of the Winds. Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy local hiking, biking, horseback riding, golfing, and fishing. In Colorado Springs, just east 4 miles, an easy drive to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Helen Hunt Falls , Seven Falls, Olympic Training Center, Old Colorado City, or Colorado Mining Museum. We provide maps, directions and recommendations for the entire area.
For rooms accommodating more than two persons $15 per person per night will be added. Rate does not include state and local taxes.

Because of the retreat style atmosphere, antique furnishings and lack of appropriate entertainment we are unable to properly accommodate children under 10.
Pets:
Uunfortunately we are unable to accommodate pets. We love them and have a wonderful Old English Sheep Dog "Bailey" that has rare and limited common area access and does not go into guestrooms.
Smoking:
There is No Smoking anywhere inside the inn. There is a comfortable outside area for those needing it.
