The cottage comfortably sleeps four. The first floor bedroom has a double bed and there are two twin beds in the loft. One more small person could be accommodated on the futon chair in the living room. The living room has a gas parlor stove for those chilly Maine nights.

There is a half bath in the loft and a full bath, with a shower, downstairs. Linens, towels and blankets will be provided. The bedroom and bathroom have their own electric heat. A gas grill supplements the modern kitchen which includes a washer and dryer.

Cell phones do work on the property. In Columbia Corners, about 8 miles from the cottage, you will find two grocery stores, a gas station, a bank, a hardware store, etc.

Grays Point cottage is located on a secluded coastline peninsula in Maine called Ripley Neck. It overlooks Harrington River Bay and has spectacular views. Surrounded by hundreds of white birch, the cottage is deceptively rustic. In such a remote and picturesque setting, you might be surprised to find modern luxuries like a washer, a dryer and brand new appliances, but Grays Point cottage has them.

Day excursions can take you to such tourist destinations as Acadia National Park, the community of Bar Harbor or Franklin D. Roosevelt's vacation spot of Campobello Island. Or walk out the front door and linger on the deck before going a few more steps to the water's edge.
