Only four blocks from the San Antonio Riverwalk and within easy walking distance of the Alamo and Convention Center -  The Grand Fleur De Lis is  located in the quiet elegance of the King William District of Sam Antonio, Texas.

This spacious Queen Ann home has a central downtown  location and is within walking distance to La Villita, the  Convention Center,  Market Square, the Institute of Texas Cultures, Rivercenter Mall and The Spanish Governor's Palace. While staying in this historic city, visitors have no need for a car because of the excellent public transportation in the City of San Antonio.

The Grand Fleur De Lis was built near the San Antonio Riverwalk in 1891 by the Abraham Wolff family. This historic Queen Ann home is elegantly appointed with European flair and comfortable Old World Charm. 

The Grand Fleur De Lis Bed & Breakfast has unique guestrooms all with private baths, a cozy dining room for the served each morning, a large living room for socializing, reading and special occasions. The house has wrap around porches for relaxing while enjoying the beauty of San Antonio's oldest historic district.

About San Antonio:

San Antonio was founded on June 13, 1691 by Father Damien Massanet, a Franciscan. San Antonio was named for Saint Anthony of Padova. The site was home to a Native American village. It was in 1718 that the Spanish built and maintained The Mission San Antonio de Valero - now known as The Alamo.

An additional fort was built - San Antonio de Bexar - to provide protection to the region. Spain's first step to colonize Texas. Original colonists were Spanish Canary Islanders, to whom many Texas families proudly trace their roots. San Antonio remained the chief Spanish, then Mexican stronghold in Texas until the Texas Revolution - "Remember the Alamo!"

Today, San Antonio is a vibrant part of Texas and the many diverse cultures that have been in the region since the 18th Century. There are many things to see and places to visit in historic San Antonio. The excellent transportation in the city provides our guests with the ability to explore San Antonio - the Rose of Texas!
