The Golden Banana Boutique Hotel opened in Siem Reap, Cambodia in August 2006 - a beautiful property in the traditional pagoda style, surrounded by tropical gardens. We're continuing to expand the property, and our resort will open at the end of 2008, with Villas and Suites available around a central, landscaped pool area, designed in a more modern, western style.

Each villa at the Golden Banana Boutique Hotel has 2 floors, one with a bedroom and bathroom and a top floor with a living room and balcony, furnished in a comfortable Cambodian style. The balconies have comfortable chairs, hammocks, and an outdoor bath and rain-shower, and look over the garden, pool or surrounding area - it's like living in a beautiful Khmer style villa.

Each of our rooms has air conditioning and ceiling fans, a TV/DVD player, a safe-deposit box and wifi internet access. We also offer a selection of wines and other drinks in your room refigerator - prices for these are modest. If you want a cocktail or mixed drink, just ask our staff.

Our hotel and resort also features two swimming pools, with a cocktail bar and fountain. Soak up the sun in one of our lounge chairs by the pool, or relax in the shade of a palm tree.

We also have a great on-site restaurant serving breakfast all morning, as well as a good lunch or dinner - eat on the terrrace, or in your own room.

The Golden Banana is in a great, quiet residential location, just five minutes on foot from the old heart of Siem Reap, in the middle of the Angkor Wat area - a visit to the Temples of Angkor Wat is something you will never forget. The area is a Unesco World Hertitage site, with many beautiful ruins of ancient temples from the Angkorian-era Khmer Empire, and is on a par with Machu Picchu and the Great Pyramids.

In the center of Siam Reap, you'll find many night clubs and bars, markets and shopping, all built in the old colonial style. We also have a great variety of restaurants, serving both local and international cuisine.
