Breakfast is served daily in your room from 07.00am till 10.30am. You can choose your own time of breakfast within these hours.

Gay Friendly Amsterdam

Amsterdam, “the gay way to Europe” has, without a doubt, earned the title of the gay capital of Europe. Amsterdam has a very liberal attitude towards the gays. Netherlands was the first nation to offer full marriage rights to gay and lesbian couples.

The heart of the city Amsterdam is a sparkling centre of festivities. Especially during summer, when gays and straights go together.

Gay Pride: With 250.000 spectators this event is the third largest in Amsterdam. In the past about 80 boats were participating in the Parade, which means the maximum capacity of the parade has been reached.

Queens day: If you’re thinking of making a trip to Amsterdam, make sure you go when it’s Queen’s Day. You really won’t forget, or regret it, just remember to pack something orange! Festivities begin in Amsterdam the night before. On Queen’s Day the entire city is out to celebrate - from gay to straight, from the oldest to the youngest. It’s a unique atmosphere where traffic is banned from the streets, so the whole city is dedicated to the pursuit of happiness. A large video screen at the Central Station broadcasts the party and the amazing fireworks to the crowds, but get there early as it fills up quickly!

Bars & Clubs: There are three gay areas where 99% of the gay venues can be found:  Warmoesstraat, Reguliersdwarsstraat (next to Rembrandtplein) and Kerkstraat. You will find gay-restaurants, -bars, travelagencies, -saunas, -clubs, -bookstores, -museums and –fitness clubs. Amsterdam has more than a hundred gay bars all located in one of the four districts. Clubs are not as common as bars, but they do stay open longer. Clubs like Exit, Cockring and X are very popular and always crowded.
