Caernarfon: A Medieval Wonder
By Andy Banner-Price, Plas Dinas Country House, Caernarfon, Wales

Caernarfon is one of those areas that offers everything all in one place…you can lie on a long sandy beach, yet turn round and see the majestic horizon of mountain views; you can have a cream tea in the sunshine in a cosmopolitan cobbled stone square overlooked by an imposing Medieval castle, yet be in snow capped stunning mountains within 15 minutes.

For the more adventurous there’s an abundance of activities from water sports to rock climbing, karting to shooting yet the area is also full of historic and interesting tourist attractions such as several castles, houses, gardens and museums.

Unique experiences include entering underground worlds of copper or slate mines, or the hydro-electric museum in Llanberis.  The Isle of Anglesey is less then 15 minutes drive and also offers a huge number of visitor attractions and also a ferry link to Dublin in Ireland.
