Gay Travel: Why I Love ItalyDec 14th, 2012
I've traveled to some of the most far-flung places in the world, from time capsule river towns in Myanmar, to the deep reaches of the Moroccan Sahara desert, to the rain-drenched jungles of Colombia's Caribbean Coast. If it's off the beaten path, it's at the top of my travel bucket list.
And yet Italy, whose paths are among the planet's most-beaten,... read_more Gay Travel: Leave Your Daily Hell's Italy WeekDec 10th, 2012
An extremely self-made man, it doesn't come as a surprise to most who meet me that I've become rather libertarian in my political viewpoints. Nonetheless, my friend Francesco was aghast at what I told him this past July, during my second trip to Italy.
"You think they should just cut off rail service to the city, then?" We'd been sitting in... read_more Gay Travel: Arriving in Italy to StudyOct 24th, 2012

So, with great excitement and romance in mind, and loose-fitting pants we'd surely... read_more Gay Travel: An American Grocery Shopping in ItalyJul 15th, 2012
Back in Forli, finally, with Marco and Fabry, for the final short leg of our visit to Italy.
Fabry took us shopping at his local grocery store, and we thought we'd take the opportunity to point out a few key differences for the American Traveler buying groceries in Italy.
The first thing to know is that many of the larger grocery chains... read_more Gay Travel: On the Way to ItalyMay 4th, 2012
It's a long way from Sacramento to Italy.
This year, for the first time since 2005, we're taking a three week trip to il bel paese - the beautiful country.
First the prep - there were weeks of planning, gathering everything we thought we'd need for a three week trip, making lists.
What's missing?
What's absolutely must-have?
What can we buy once we get there?
What... read_more
