Your hosts, Marcella & Ray, and their two pets, Blitz (Scheepdog) & Amigo (Wolfdog) have been working on this Shangrila since 2003, and finally moved to Echo Island on Harrison Lake full time in 2006.

We're the only residents on this 2400 acre Island, and we feel fortunate to be able to share our little piece of paradise on Earth with you. Elfinlau has three vacation rental cottages, as well as a tepee for folks who really enjoy camping in the beautiful outdoors.

Echo Island is a hiker's dream, with thousands of acres of untrammled natural beauty. We also offer boat rentals - explore Harrison Lake, or go on a fishing adventure. And we can arrange a professional fishing trop down the Harrison River, if you're interested.

Elfinlau is surrounded by our own herb and floral gardens - many of the herbs provide flavoring for our wonderful meals.

We also offer a genuine clothing optional Finnish Sauna, where you can clense both your body and your soul. And Marcella loves to give Reiki Treatments and Initiations.

She's also a gifted jeweler, and teaches jewelry making classes on-site, where she also makes wonderful creations using gemstones from around the world.

We're just over an hour and a half by car plus a ten minute boat ride east of Vancouver in the British Columbian Rickies, or come by float plane - just half an hour.
