Four large guest rooms, conveniently located between East Avenue and Park Avenue in Rochester, NY Cultural and historical district, The Inn offers vacationers and business travelers the relaxation of neighborhood living in a convenient city location. Within easy walking distance of shops, fine restaurants, and museums. Guest phones, VCR-TV's, Air Conditioning (in-season), King-Queen beds, Hairdryers, Private and semi-private baths. A full gourmet breakfast is served daily in the formal dining room. A continental breakfast is also available for those on the run. In the warmer months, al fresco dining is also available in the English Garden for those who prefer an outdoor setting among the flowers. If you wish some special pampering, request our special breakfast in bed service! Tea and hot chocolate are available throughout the day. In common areas: Microwave, refrigerator, video library, lending library, and coffee and tea service. Living Room - A favorite room for gatherings is the beautiful, spacious living room. It is the perfect setting for a sunny daylight, or romantic candlelight affair. Conducive to intimate gatherings, this room boasts antique blue walls and china white wainscot and wall moldings. Curl up with pillows on our bookend bowed bay windows, the perfect place to listen to music, or read a good book. Library - The perfect ending to any day or night is enjoying the warmth of a fire in the homes cozy library. With it's carved pillar mantle, wood paneled walls and floor to ceiling bookcases, guests can enjoy time spent reading or visiting on comfortable leather sofas and chairs.
Emily's Room - Named after the original bride and home owner, Emily Harris Sloan, the bedroom boasts a grand mahogany four poster rice bed. A lovely fireplace lends itself to enjoying a good book or writing a letter at the lovely English writing desk. The Cottage Room - With it's warm wooden floors, white cottage furnishings, wicker and handmade quilts, this spacious room will offer a whimsical setting of comfort for any traveler. The Captain's Room - For warmth and coziness, snuggle up in this rooms' cherry four poster bed. Enjoy the hand-carved fireplace (the 6th in the Inn). The room was decorated in a relaxed, English Equestrian feel for your comfort. A warm goose down comforter graces the bed. * Guest rooms share a common second floor kitchen area. Not intended for preparing full meals, it is however a perfect spot to fix a cup of coffee or tea, to put your favorite snacks or special dietary needs.
