" DOWNTOWN BED AND BREAKFAST - EXPLORE VICTORIA/VANCOUVER ISLAND "
Designed and built by noted sculptor Earl Clarke, our exceptional heritage-designated interior rooms were featured on The Land Conservancy’s Heritage House Tour 2002 and the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria’s House Tour 2003. Our house and our B&B have been the subject of articles and reviews in Inn Traveler, Purple Roofs, PlanetOut, Gay Canada Guide, EAT Magazine, Victoria News, Victoria Times-Colonist and on CHTV. Our two spacious suites--each on its own floor for ultimate privacy--feature private bathrooms, sitting rooms with fireplaces, and garden or hilltop views. You’re welcome to curl up in our fireplace inglenook and romantic window seats or relax in the front or backyard gardens. Both suites are equipped with fresh fruit and flowers, plush terry robes, top-quality queen beds and high thread count linens, your choice of hypo-allergenic down or polyester pillows and duvets, cable TV, wireless internet, individual thermostats, microwaves and coffee makers. We are a true bed and breakfast, pampering our guests with little extras and assistance with everything from beach towels and personalized maps to dinner reservations and spins on our tandem “bicycle built for two.” You haven’t really relaxed until you’ve indulged in an in-room massage and literally rolled off the table and straight into bed! We’re happy to arrange en-suite Swedish or hot stone massages, reflexology pedicures, facials, and couples massages by our wonderful estheticians and massage therapists. As dedicated “foodies,” we love sharing our award-winning breakfasts: polished silver, bright table linens, fresh flowers, and of course…great food! At Earle Clarke House, we feature local specialties, organically-grown whenever possible. Depending on the season, our guests feast on wild or locally grown berries and fruit, fireweed honey, free range eggs, wild B.C. smoked salmon, maple syrup, Vancouver Island cheeses and chemical-free bacon and sausages. The plums, rhubarb, fresh herbs and edible flowers we serve come straight from our own gardens. Joyce makes all our jams and jellies and times her baking to arrive fresh and hot out of the oven at breakfast time. Victoria is an increasingly popular wedding destination for romantics: easy-going but urbane, quaint but tolerant, and filled with lovely heritage homes, lush English gardens, and spectacular natural beauty. As hopeless romantics ourselves, we’re only too happy to assist you in getting legally married in Canada. Let us lovingly arrange your dream wedding or elopementwhile you sit back, relax, and enjoy one of life’s most joyous events!
